Our Molokai home is available as a short term rental. Visit our lovely three bedroom, two bath beachfront vacation rental home on one acre with large lawn, mango tree, and coconut palms all around.

This artful, beach front, three bedroom, two bath home is on the East end of Moloka’i, in the desirable Puko’o area. There are open beam ceilings throughout, wood and tile floors, and comfortable furnishings. The ocean is just steps away from the spacious lanai and open, airy living/dining room and full kitchen. From almost every room there are gorgeous views of either the ocean and Maui beyond, or the mountains of Moloka’i.

This is a special, Hawaiian style family home, recently updated for comfort, without changing the original charm. There are wood floors, koa wood furniture, and comfortable places to sit and watch the ocean. The kitchen is fully equipped, with dishwasher, gas stove, and plenty of pots, pans, glasses, utensils, and original handmade ceramics. This home is beautifully decorated with artwork, and has books, movies and an extensive CD collection for your enjoyment.

Located on a private, lushly planted acre of land, with hibiscus, tropicals, and a large mango tree, the house is set back from the road, with only the sounds of the birds and the gentle waves of the ocean. The water is calm and shallow, making it easy to swim, snorkle, or just watch the ever-changing view of the ocean and Maui from this enchanting beach home.

Our home offers beautiful views of Maui and Lanai across the channel. The oceanfront bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom contains a double, and the third a single. There are two full baths, spacious living and dining rooms, and a large lanai facing the ocean and beach just steps away.

The house is best suited for one couple or 3 single travelers.

Permit No: STMO 2016/0002 – Maui County Policies & House Rules

a. Quiet hours from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., during which time the noise from the short-term rental home shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area;

b. Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries of the short-term rental home is prohibited;
c. Vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area and shall not be parked on the street;

d. No parties or group gatherings other than registered guests shall occur; and
e.“Note: the shoreline area is the property of the people of Hawai`i, and is open for the free use by everyone.”

  1. maximum occupancy: no more than two (2) persons per bedroom, including children over the age of two (2) years old.

  3. The maximum occupancy shall be no more than six (6) guests, including children over the age of two (2) years old.

Rental Agreement and Kainehe Policies & House Rules

3 Guests total – NO UNREGISTERED GUESTS – NO PARTIES, not even small ones.

Check in time 3:00pm, Check out time 12:00pm (unless other arrangements have been made) – to avoid lost keys, leave them in lock box during your stay.

Please do not move the furniture around

No smoking inside – conscientious smoking is permitted outside, please dispose of extinguished butts in outside trash. Leave ashtray clean.

When coming in from the beach (each time) please shower or hose off thoroughly at the outside shower area (or using the hose outside the oceanfront room), making sure to get the sand off your feet and frominside your swimsuit. Sand can damage the indoor plumbing, and salt water causes wear on the hardwood floors.

Helpful tip: Bring a towel out near the outside shower before you go swimming/to the beach.

Take trash cans to the road Wednesday night for pick up on Thursday morning. Place the can(s) near our large black mailbox #8714. Bring trash cans back in from the road after trash pick up.

Use hair catchers at the shower drains, especially if you have long hair. After showering clean out the hair and dispose in trash.

Please use wooden cooking utensils with the non-stick pans. No wooden items in the DISHWASHER; plastics on top rack only.

Molokai has the highest utility rates in the country, please be mindful of power usage in general. Open all the windows and sliding doors to get the trade winds blowing through the house.

Sometimes when it’s hot spending time on the lanai/covered deck, under the shade of a tree or going for a swim are the best options.

Ants and roaches will come if you leave crumbs/food bits about. Clean up after meals and store food items in the refrigerator. Please no eating in the bedrooms.

No outdoor shoes in the house – you may designate an inside pair of slippers/flip flops.

Please treat musical instruments with care. Returning them to their place if you use them. They are situated so they are protected from the sun.

No Pets – please do not let cats in the house – keep screened doors closed.

We hope you had a wonderful time!

Please load any dirty dishes into dishwasher and run before checking out. Use the 1 hour cycle. If you can remember to add the dish brush and the toothbrush cups, that would be super!

Please turn off all lights and ceiling fans.

Damp towels/wash rags will get smelly/moldy if left in a heap so please leave them spread out on the towel bars or on the clothes line.

Make sure the keys are returned to the lock box, and doors are locked.
